Event : Sainsbury's Inclusive Community Training

The Sainsbury’s Active Kids for All Inclusive Community Training is a Paralympic initiative aimed at those who work in the community to improve their skills, know-how and confidence in delivering sports-based activities to disabled people. The training is FREE and takes place on Sunday 5th March 2017,  1:30pm-4:30pm at Blackburn Youth Zone and consists of a 3 hour practical workshop and is supported by an eLearning module which takes around 45 minutes to complete. The training is aimed at those who work in the community including volunteers, community groups, healthcare workers, parents and carers. So far over 6,000 people who work or volunteer in the community across  the country have benefited from the training. The workshop aims to support participants to learn about practical tools to support inclusive delivery, to explore creative ideas to support disabled people to take part in physical activity and sport and to learn about local groups, activities and further training opportunities. There is a leaflet attached with more information about the training.
